Education has been a critical part of WEC’s mission from the start.  In many ways we have sought to educate our citizens, our students and our elected and appointed officials on many environmental issues over the last four decades.  We have sponsored lectures for the general public, developed and funded programs at the schools in our town and provided scholarships for summer programs as well as college education with a focus on the environment.  We have spoken out and provided expertise on all the critical challenges Washington has faced in the past and believe that educating our next generation and all our residents is a key part of protecting our town in the future.
